The First Friday Cultural Pop Up at Moore Square is fast approaching, on Friday, August 2 from 6 to 8 PM. It’s presented by three groups: International Focus; Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources; and, Moore Square. Moore Square has undergone a transformation—and we are the first planned event in the new park! This is a great family outing, with grassy hills for children to run on, story time and crafts, music and dance.
Scottish music will fill the air for the grand opening of Moore Square in downtown Raleigh for First Friday. Sit on a grassy knoll and imagine you are in Scotland as you listen to bagpipes and percussion, watch jubilant Highland dancers, hear traditional folk songs and stories of old Scotland, and tap your foot to the rhythms of Scottish Session Musicians. Enjoy a picnic supper of fish and chips from the Oak City Fish and Chips Food Truck nearby.
